Setting up for Success: Strategies for Planning your Consolidated Application Title I, Part A Set-aside for Homeless Students


Title I Part A set-aside funds are funds reserved by school districts to provide academic and educationally related support to students in temporary housing. These funds, which must be deemed reasonable, necessary, and act as a "last resort," to ensure homeless children can meet state academic standards, attend school regularly, and participate fully in school activities. 


In this session, Alexandra (Lexie) Pressley from the Office of ESSA Funded Programs, will share approaches to determining the “just right” amount for supporting students in temporary housing with the required Title I, Part A set-aside for homeless students.
