About the Event

In partnership with NYSED, NYS TEACHS is pleased to continue strengthening our Regional Networks through our Community of Practice (CoP) initiative. This series brings together educators from across New York State who are committed to deepening their knowledge, sharing best practices, and exploring effective strategies to support students living in temporary housing and promote their academic success.

In this session, a panel of transportation directors and supervisors from districts of varying sizes—including urban and rural communities, will share approaches to effectively address transportation challenges for students in temporary housing.

Participants will also engage in facilitated breakout sessions for regional problem solving around transportation challenges. These collaborative conversations will provide an opportunity to reflect on the presentation and explore how to improve regional cooperation to ensure the transportation needs of students in temporary housing are effectively met.
