About the Event

NYS TEACHS, in partnership with NYSED, is excited to continue to build our Regional Networks through the launch of our first Community of Practice (CoP). This initiative is designed to bring together educators from across the state who are committed to deepening their knowledge, sharing best practices, and discussing effective strategies to better support students living in temporary housing to ensure their academic success.

Community of Practice #1: Building and Sustaining an M-V Network to Support Students in Temporary Housing will give participants the opportunity to learn from a guest speaker with expertise in this area, followed by facilitated breakout sessions for regional discussions. These discussions will allow educators to collaborate and explore how to apply the information and strategies shared to their own school districts and communities.
