Students who transfer schools often do worse in school than those who don't transfer. The McKinney-Vento Act can help solve this problem by allowing students to stay in the same school and get free transportation.

McKinney-Vento Workshop Details

NYS-TEACHS and NYSED proudly present our FREE McKinney-Vento Workshops.

NYS-TEACHS held 8 multiple-session Regional Workshops throughout New York State this fall. Training topics at these Workshops included transportation, unaccompanied youth, compliance and conversational skills, rural and urban issues, and an introduction to the McKinney-Vento Act.
