Networking Meetings

In 2006, NYS-TEACHS started a new initiative to help regions develop, build, and sustain their capacity to network together to meet the needs of students experiencing homelessness. We are calling this effort Regional Facilitated Networking Meetings. The purpose of the meetings is to bring together professionals from schools, social services providers, community organizations and others to engage in a discussion about common challenges, best practices, and available community resources in an effort to build and strengthen collaborative relationships among the participants.

With the help of a consultant, Cassandra Archie, we have held Regional Facilitated Networking meetings in Eastern Suffolk BOCES, Southern Westchester BOCES, and Herkimer BOCES.
